Impressence NextGen Turbo Yeast
Impressence NextGen Turbo Yeast is a premium dual-sachet turbo yeast designed for clean, high-gravity sugar washes and neutral spirit production.
The separate yeast and nutrient sachets help protect yeast quality before use, while the advanced nutrient blend supports strong fermentation with reduced stress and fewer unwanted off-flavours.
Choose between two fermentation profiles using the same 9.25kg dextrose load:
- High Gravity: up to 20% ABV in 25 litres
- Super Clean: approximately 10% ABV in 50 litres
- Fermentation time: approximately 7–10 days
- Recommended fermentation temperature: 20–25°C
- Dual-sachet yeast and nutrient system
- Designed for clean vodka and neutral spirit-style washes
In stock
Impressence NextGen Turbo Yeast gives home distillers the flexibility to choose between a high-gravity wash or a cleaner, lower-strength fermentation.
Unlike conventional turbo yeasts that combine yeast and nutrients in one packet, NextGen keeps the active dried yeast and nutrient blend in separate sachets. This helps protect the yeast during storage and supports healthy fermentation once pitched.
The nutrient blend contains nitrogen sources, vitamins, trace minerals and pH buffering components to support efficient fermentation and help reduce unwanted off-flavours.
Two Ways to Ferment
NextGen High Gravity
Designed for maximum strength in a standard-size fermenter.
- Target ABV: up to 20%
- Final wash volume: 25 litres
- Minimum fermenter size: 30 litres
- Dextrose required: 9.25kg
- Fermentation time: approximately 7–10 days
- Recommended temperature: 20–25°C
NextGen Super Clean
Designed for a lower-stress, cleaner fermentation.
- Target ABV: approximately 10%
- Final wash volume: 50 litres
- Minimum fermenter size: 60 litres
- Dextrose required: 9.25kg
- Fermentation time: approximately 7–10 days
- Recommended temperature: 20–25°C
Using the same dextrose load in a larger 50L wash reduces sugar concentration and yeast stress, making this option well suited to clean, neutral-style washes.
Instructions for Use
- Clean and sanitise all fermenting equipment.
- Add 9.25kg dextrose to the fermenter with enough warm water to dissolve it completely.
- Top up with cool water to:
- 25 litres for High Gravity, or
- 50 litres for Super Clean.
- Allow the wash temperature to stabilise at 20–25°C.
- Add both the NextGen yeast and nutrient sachets and stir well.
- Seal the fermenter and fit an airlock.
- Ferment at 20–25°C until the specific gravity remains stable, typically around 7–10 days.
Fermentation time may vary depending on temperature and wash conditions.
Which Profile Should You Choose?
Choose High Gravity if you want a smaller 25L wash with alcohol strength up to approximately 20% ABV.
Choose Super Clean if you prefer a larger 50L wash at approximately 10% ABV with reduced yeast stress and a cleaner neutral profile.
Both methods use the same 9.25kg of dextrose.
What You Will Need
- 9.25kg dextrose
- Suitable fermenter
- Water
- Mixing paddle
- Airlock
- Hydrometer
- Sanitiser
Use at least a 30L fermenter for the High Gravity method or a 60L fermenter for the Super Clean method.
Fermentation Tips
For best results:
- Sanitise all equipment before use
- Fully dissolve the dextrose
- Maintain 20–25°C
- Avoid large temperature swings
- Use a hydrometer to confirm fermentation is complete
- Wait for a stable specific gravity before further processing
Ideal For
Impressence NextGen Turbo Yeast is suitable for:
- Sugar washes
- Neutral spirit-style washes
- Vodka-style washes
- High-gravity fermentation
- Cleaner lower-strength washes
Important Notes
- Requires 9.25kg dextrose
- Use both supplied sachets
- Recommended temperature: 20–25°C
- High Gravity makes 25L at up to approximately 20% ABV
- Super Clean makes 50L at approximately 10% ABV
- Typical fermentation time is 7–10 days
- Confirm completion with a hydrometer
- Follow the supplied product instructions
Impressence NextGen Turbo Yeast provides a practical choice between high-strength fermentation and a cleaner, lower-stress wash, making it well suited to customers producing neutral spirit-style bases.
