The Red Reaper Counterflow Chiller is designed to cool wort quickly and efficiently, helping home brewers shorten brew day while improving the quality of every batch. This latest-generation counterflow chiller features 5.6 metres of cooling length, 9.5mm Duotight-compatible inlet and outlet barbs, three rubberised feet for stability, and a convenient hinged hanger that fits BrewZilla Gen 4 handles. When paired with a Thermowell Tee, RAPT Bluetooth Temperature Probe and BrewZilla Gen 4, Red Reaper Counterflow Chiller allows you to monitor and record your wort temperature throughout the chilling process, giving you a complete record of your brew day from mash to fermenter.

Unlike traditional clamp-style designs, this unit uses PEX (cross-linked polyethylene) tubing that is permanently swaged and soldered to the copper wort pipe. This construction creates a strong, long-lasting connection while ensuring the cooling water remains completely separate from your wort. PEX is widely used in modern plumbing due to its flexibility, durability and resistance to pressure, making it an excellent choice for brewing applications.

For the best brewing results, sanitise the chiller by recirculating the final 15 minutes of your boil before introducing cold water. After brewing, clean thoroughly using StellarClean PBW at an optimum temperature of 80°C with a minimum contact time of five minutes. Alternating the cleaning flow direction helps remove stubborn residue and ensures the entire internal surface is cleaned effectively.

Do not store in sunlight. It will degrade the PEX overtime.
Do not store with StellarSan or any acidic products. It will break down copper.
