SafAle US-05 500g is a premium American ale yeast renowned for its clean fermentation profile, reliable performance, and outstanding versatility. Favoured by commercial breweries, nano breweries, and serious home brewers, this larger-format pack provides exceptional value while delivering the same consistent results that have made US-05 one of the most popular brewing yeasts worldwide.
Designed to produce clean and balanced beers, SafAle US-05 500g allows both hop and malt character to take centre stage. As a result, it is particularly well suited to modern hop-forward beer styles where flavour clarity and aroma expression are essential. The neutral fermentation profile helps showcase hop bitterness, aroma, and flavour while maintaining excellent drinkability.
One of the biggest advantages of SafAle US-05 500g is its versatility. It performs consistently across a broad range of ale styles, from crisp Blonde Ales and American Pale Ales through to hop-forward IPAs, Porters, and Stouts. In addition, its reliable attenuation helps produce dry, clean finishes that enhance overall beer balance.
Manufactured by Fermentis using advanced yeast propagation and drying technology, SafAle US-05 500g offers excellent viability, storage stability, and fermentation performance. Furthermore, the yeast can be pitched directly into wort or rehydrated prior to use, allowing brewers to choose the method that best suits their brewing process.
Whether you’re producing a single commercial batch or managing ongoing brewery production, SafAle US-05 500g provides the consistency, reliability, and clean flavour profile required for professional-quality beer.
