You can legally own a still under 5 litres, but distilling alcohol requires the correct excise permissions. Most customers use essences and base spirits like vodka to create spirits without distillation.

Using Still Spirits essences combined with neutral alcohol (vodka or filtered sugar wash) is the simplest method. You mix the essence with a base spirit to create whisky, rum, gin, bourbon, liqueurs, and more.

If not using purchased vodka, you can ferment a sugar wash using turbo yeast, nutrients, and carbon filtering. This gives you a neutral base for your essences.
