Triple Tap Font Kit is a convenient three-line draught tower designed for brewers and bar owners who want the freedom to choose their own taps and keg connections. The font arrives with stainless steel short shanks and beverage lines already installed, reducing setup time and simplifying the construction of a multi-keg dispensing system.
This package is suitable for home kegerators, custom bars, beer fridges and selected hospitality installations. Once mounted, simply attach compatible taps to the shanks and connect the beverage lines to your chosen keg couplers or disconnects.
Taps, liquid disconnects, gas disconnects and keg couplers are not included.
Pre-Assembled for Faster Setup
The supplied short shanks and beverage lines are already fitted to the font.
This removes several time-consuming installation steps and offers:
- Faster system assembly
- Neater internal line routing
- Less difficulty accessing the inside of the font
- Consistent beverage line installation
- Easier connection to your chosen hardware
- Reduced setup work for first-time keggers
You can select the taps and keg fittings that best suit your equipment rather than being limited to a fixed package.
Three-Tap Draught System
The Triple Tap Font Kit provides three independent beverage outlets.
It can be used to serve combinations such as:
- Lager, pale ale and IPA
- Beer, cider and ginger beer
- Two beers and sparkling water
- Three rotating homebrew batches
- Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Commercial and homebrew keg options
Each drink may require different gas pressure, carbonation and line-balancing settings.
Stainless Steel I-Style Font
The font uses a clean stainless steel I-style tower designed for compact kegerator and bench-mounted installations.
The font includes three 22mm holes for the supplied shanks.
Its stainless steel construction provides:
- A professional appearance
- Good resistance to moisture
- Easy external cleaning
- Compatibility with many home bar finishes
- Durable construction for regular use
Clean the exterior with a soft cloth and a suitable stainless steel cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads that may scratch the surface.
Pre-Fitted Stainless Steel Short Shanks
Three stainless steel short shanks are supplied and installed.
The shanks include collars and are designed to suit many common beer taps.
Before selecting taps, confirm:
- Thread compatibility
- Tap collar requirements
- Available handle clearance
- Whether any adaptors are needed
- Suitability for the beverages being served
Do not force an incompatible tap onto the shank.
Pre-Attached Beverage Lines
Each short shank includes approximately 2 metres of 4mm internal-diameter beer line.
The included line length provides a useful starting point for balancing many draught systems.
Beverage line length helps control:
- Pour speed
- Foam
- Pressure resistance
- Carbonation retention
- Overall serving performance
Do not shorten the lines until the system has been fully chilled and tested at its normal serving pressure.
Lines that are too short may cause fast and excessively foamy pours.
Choose Your Own Taps
Taps are not included, allowing you to customise the finished font.
Compatible options may include:
- Stainless steel forward-sealing taps
- Flow-control taps
- Black powder-coated taps
- Standard beer faucets
- Suitable stout taps
- Other compatible beverage taps
This flexibility is useful when matching an existing bar design or selecting taps for different beverage types.
Choose Your Keg Connections
Disconnects and keg couplers are also sold separately.
Depending on your keg type, you may need:
- Ball lock liquid disconnects
- Ball lock gas disconnects
- Pin lock fittings
- Commercial keg couplers
- Push-in fittings
- Threaded adaptors
- Clamps or compatible connectors
Corny kegs generally use separate gas and liquid disconnects, while commercial kegs often require a specific coupler style.
Check your keg before choosing fittings.
Additional Gas Line Included
The kit includes additional tubing that can be used to connect a gas regulator to the keg system.
A complete gas setup may also require:
- CO₂ cylinder
- Gas regulator
- Gas disconnects or couplers
- Gas splitters
- Manifold
- Non-return valves
- Secondary regulator
- Compatible push-in fittings
These parts are not included unless stated separately.

General Installation
A typical installation process includes:
- Select a suitable mounting position.
- Confirm there are no hidden cooling lines, wiring or structural obstructions.
- Place the rubber gasket beneath the font.
- Feed the beverage and gas lines through the mounting opening.
- Secure the font using the supplied screws and nuts.
- Attach compatible taps to the short shanks.
- Tighten the taps with the included tool.
- Connect the beer lines to the chosen couplers or disconnects.
- Complete the gas system.
- Check all beverage and gas connections.
- Chill and pressure the kegs.
- Test and balance each tap.
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and use suitable tools.
Mounting to a Kegerator
When installing the font on a kegerator:
- Use the approved mounting area
- Check the existing hole pattern
- Avoid hidden refrigeration components
- Confirm drip-tray alignment
- Allow adequate glass clearance
- Make sure the font remains level
- Check that beverage lines are not kinked
Drilling into an unapproved area may damage the refrigeration system.
Mounting to a Bench
For bench installation:
- Check that the surface can support the font
- Confirm there is enough access underneath
- Use suitable mounting hardware
- Plan the beverage and gas line route
- Seal exposed bench material if required
- Allow room for servicing and cleaning
A professional installer may be appropriate for permanent hospitality applications.
Balancing the Beverage Lines
A balanced draught system provides a steady pour with controlled foam.
Performance depends on:
- Beverage temperature
- Serving pressure
- Carbonation level
- Beverage line length
- Internal line diameter
- Tap height
- Tap type
- Beverage style
The supplied 2m lines should be tested before trimming.
Shorten only in small amounts if needed.
Gas Distribution for Three Kegs
Serving three kegs from one gas source may require a splitter or manifold.
A basic system may use one pressure for all kegs. However, different beverages may require different settings.
For example:
- Sparkling water may require higher pressure
- A lightly carbonated ale may use lower pressure
- Cider may require a different carbonation level from beer
Secondary regulators or inline pressure-control devices may be required when serving drinks at different pressures.
Cleaning and Sanitation
Clean all beverage-contact parts before first use.
Clean the font, shanks and lines:
- After each keg
- Between different beverages
- After serving sweet drinks
- Before extended storage
- Whenever flavour changes
- If flow becomes restricted
Use a suitable beer line cleaner and follow the correct dilution and contact time.
Inspect:
- Beverage tubing
- Shank seals
- Tap connections
- Gas line
- Mounting hardware
- Rubber gasket
- Couplers or disconnects
Replace worn or leaking parts promptly.
