Gas Line Manifold Splitter 4 Way is a practical and expandable gas distribution solution for brewers who need to supply several kegs from one regulated CO₂ source. It divides a single gas line into four individually controlled outputs, making it ideal for multi-keg kegerators, keezers, home bars and larger draught systems.

The manifold is made from aluminium, brass and stainless steel components for durability and regular homebrew use. Each outlet features a 1/4-inch threaded ball valve, 6mm hose barb and built-in check valve.

This allows each gas line to be opened or closed independently while helping protect the regulator and reduce unwanted pressure or liquid movement between connected kegs.

Split One Gas Supply into Four Lines

A standard regulator outlet supplies only one gas line unless a splitter or manifold is added.

This four-way manifold allows one regulated gas source to feed:

  • Four Corny kegs
  • Four PET kegs
  • Four pressure fermenters
  • A combination of compatible gas-fed vessels
  • A four-tap kegerator
  • A keezer or custom home bar system

All open outlets receive approximately the same regulated pressure unless secondary pressure-control equipment is installed.

Four Individually Controlled Ball Valves

The Gas Line Manifold Splitter 4 Way includes four ball valves, allowing each outlet to be controlled separately.

This makes it easier to:

  • Isolate one keg
  • Disconnect a vessel
  • Change a keg
  • Service a gas line
  • Shut off an unused outlet
  • Check individual lines for leaks
  • Operate fewer than four kegs

Individual shut-off control provides more convenience than a basic fixed gas splitter.

Built-In Check Valves

Each ball valve includes a built-in check-valve mechanism.

These valves help reduce the risk of gas or liquid moving backwards through the gas system.

They can help:

  • Protect the regulator
  • Reduce backflow
  • Prevent gas movement between kegs
  • Limit beverage migration through gas lines
  • Isolate pressure differences between vessels

Check valves provide useful protection, but they do not replace correct gas-system setup, non-return devices where required or regular leak checks.

1/4-Inch Threaded Connections

The supplied ball valves screw into the manifold body using 1/4-inch threads.

This threaded design provides flexibility for users who want to replace or upgrade the fittings.

Compatible options may include:

  • Replacement 1/4-inch ball valves
  • Gas ball lock post assemblies
  • Push-in fittings
  • Threaded adaptors
  • Stainless steel joining nipples

Confirm thread type and compatibility before installing additional components.

6mm Hose Barbs

Each valve includes a 6mm hose barb for compatible gas tubing.

For a secure connection:

  1. Confirm the tubing’s internal diameter.
  2. Push the tubing fully over the barb.
  3. Secure it using a suitable hose clamp.
  4. Avoid overtightening the clamp.
  5. Pressure-test the complete system.
  6. Inspect the tubing regularly.

Replace tubing if it becomes cracked, hardened, stretched or difficult to seal.

Rated to 100psi

The manifold is rated for gas pressures up to 100psi.

However, the maximum operating pressure of the complete system is determined by the lowest-rated connected component.

Always check the ratings of:

  • Kegs
  • PET vessels
  • Regulators
  • Gas lines
  • Disconnects
  • Pressure relief valves
  • Push-in fittings
  • Other gas-system components

Never exceed the safe pressure limit of any connected equipment.

Durable Construction

The manifold uses aluminium, brass and stainless steel components.

This construction provides:

  • Strong everyday performance
  • Good durability
  • Secure threaded connections
  • Corrosion resistance in normal gas service
  • Suitability for homebrew gas boards
  • Long service life when maintained correctly

Keep the manifold dry and protected from beverage spills and harsh chemicals.

Easy Gas Board Mounting

The manifold includes mounting holes at the top for installation on a gas board, kegerator wall or other suitable surface.

Mounting the unit can help:

  • Organise gas lines
  • Keep valves accessible
  • Reduce strain on fittings
  • Improve system visibility
  • Make leak checking easier
  • Keep the installation neat

Use appropriate mounting hardware for the selected surface.

Expandable to Five Outlets

The four-way manifold can be converted into a five-way unit by adding a compatible 1/4-inch ball valve.

This is useful if your system grows and you want to add another keg without replacing the complete manifold.

Before adding a valve:

  • Confirm the spare port is compatible
  • Use suitable thread sealant where required
  • Tighten the valve correctly
  • Pressure-test the new connection
  • Check the total gas demand of the system

The additional ball valve is sold separately.

Connect Multiple Manifolds Together

Multiple manifolds can be joined using a compatible 1/4-inch stainless steel hex nipple.

This allows you to build a larger distribution system with more outlets.

For example, joined manifolds may be used for:

  • Six-keg systems
  • Eight-keg systems
  • Large keezer builds
  • Home bar installations
  • Multi-bank gas distribution
  • Brewing rooms with several pressure vessels

Plan the mounting support, tubing routes and pressure requirements before combining several manifolds.

Optional Gas Ball Lock Post

A gas ball lock post with a 1/4-inch bulkhead assembly can be added to create a quick-disconnect gas connection.

This may provide:

  • Easier manifold removal
  • Faster servicing
  • Portable gas-board setups
  • Simple reconnection
  • Compatibility with existing ball lock gas lines

The gas post assembly is sold separately.

Approximate 2psi Pressure Drop

The built-in check-valve mechanism creates an approximate 2psi pressure drop across each ball valve.

As a result, the pressure reaching the keg may be around 2psi lower than the regulator setting.

For example:

  • Desired keg pressure: 12psi
  • Approximate regulator setting: 14psi

This is a general guide. Confirm actual pressure using the complete gas system.

Same-Pressure Distribution

A standard gas manifold sends approximately the same pressure to every open outlet.

This works well when the connected kegs require similar pressure.

Suitable examples include:

  • Four pale ales
  • Multiple lagers
  • Similar beer styles
  • Several kegs being force carbonated together
  • Beer and cider at comparable pressure

The individual valves control flow but do not independently regulate outlet pressure.

Different Pressure Requirements

Some beverages require different levels of carbonation or serving pressure.

Examples include:

  • Sparkling water
  • Ginger beer
  • English ale
  • Lager
  • Cider
  • Pressure fermentation vessels

For separate pressure settings, use:

  • Secondary regulators
  • Multi-output regulator
  • Inline pressure-control devices
  • Separate gas manifolds supplied at different pressures

A basic four-way manifold alone cannot provide four independently adjustable pressures.

General Installation Guide

A typical setup includes:

  1. Mount the manifold securely.
  2. Connect the regulator line to the manifold inlet.
  3. Fit compatible gas tubing to each 6mm barb.
  4. Secure each line with an appropriate clamp.
  5. Connect the lines to gas disconnects or keg couplers.
  6. Close all four ball valves.
  7. Open the gas cylinder.
  8. Set the regulator pressure.
  9. Open each outlet one at a time.
  10. Leak-test every connection.
  11. Adjust the regulator approximately 2psi higher if required.

Follow the regulator and cylinder manufacturer’s instructions.

Leak Testing

CO₂ leaks can empty a cylinder quickly.

Check the system after:

  • Initial installation
  • Adding a fifth valve
  • Joining manifolds
  • Replacing tubing
  • Moving the gas board
  • Changing fittings
  • Connecting new kegs

To test:

  1. Pressurise the system.
  2. Apply a suitable leak-detection solution.
  3. Check the inlet, threads, valves, barbs and tubing.
  4. Watch for bubbles.
  5. Tighten or reseal leaking connections.
  6. Retest before use.

Never use a flame to test for gas leaks.

Protecting the Regulator

The built-in check valves help protect the regulator from reverse flow.

Further protection may include:

  • Keeping gas lines above liquid level
  • Avoiding overfilled kegs
  • Using suitable non-return valves
  • Closing the manifold outlet before disconnecting
  • Checking vessel pressure before connection
  • Keeping liquid away from gas posts

If beverage enters the manifold or regulator, stop using the system and clean or service the affected equipment according to the manufacturer’s advice.

Gas Only

This manifold is intended for gas distribution only.

Do not use it for:

  • Beer
  • Cider
  • Water
  • Wine
  • Soft drinks
  • Cleaning solution
  • Any other liquid

The internal valves and check mechanisms are not designed as beverage-contact components.

Suitable Applications

The manifold is ideal for:

  • Four-keg kegerators
  • Multi-tap home bars
  • Keezer systems
  • Corny keg setups
  • PET keg systems
  • Pressure fermenters
  • Brewing gas boards
  • Small hospitality draught systems

It provides a tidy way to distribute one regulator outlet to four compatible gas lines.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Gas manifolds should normally remain dry.

Inspect the unit regularly for:

  • Loose threads
  • Leaking barbs
  • Cracked tubing
  • Worn clamps
  • Sticking ball valves
  • Damaged check valves
  • Corrosion
  • Physical damage

Do not soak the manifold unless the manufacturer specifically recommends it.

Replace faulty valves or fittings promptly.
