Unlike complete fresh wort recipe kits, the XPA Base Fresh Wort Kit – Fresh3 is supplied as a standalone base. It does not include yeast or additional dry hops, giving you complete control over the finished beer.

This base has been developed specifically for brewers who enjoy hop-forward Australian-style XPAs. The water profile has been carefully optimised to support bright hop flavour while maintaining excellent drinkability.
The brewhouse hop schedule features three exciting modern hop varieties:

Krush provides clean bitterness with expressive tropical fruit character, while Superdelic contributes layers of citrus, red fruit and confectionery-like aromas. Nectaron adds intense notes of pineapple, passionfruit, peach and stone fruit.

Popular dry-hop varieties include Citra, Galaxy, Eclipse, Mosaic, Vic Secret, Motueka, Nelson Sauvin, Superdelic and Nectaron.
Recommended Yeast Styles
Because this is a flexible base kit, several yeast strains work well depending on the style you wish to create.
Clean American ale strains such as Fermentis SafAle US-05, LalBrew BRY-97 and CellarScience CALI will highlight hop flavour and create a crisp finish.
If you prefer a softer, fruitier XPA, consider LalBrew New England or another modern hazy ale strain.
Always follow the pitching rate and fermentation temperature recommended by the yeast manufacturer.
